The Rotary International Youth Exchange, District - 4490 is a long-term exchange for young people aged 15 to 18.5 who seek to expand understanding and understanding between people, enabling young people to experience experiences from other countries, in terms of education and culture, making them “ambassadors” of their own country.

Prerequisites

The candidate must be completing elementary school or attending high school, holding a position in the upper third of their class and be at least 15 years old by December 3rd of the previous year and a maximum age of 17 years old by 31 July of the current year.

It must be registered and presented through a Rotary Club.

The selection will consist of:

- Analysis of the school curriculum;

- Interview with parents (if both alive) or guardians;

- Interview with the candidate.

Youth Exchange Program

STAGE 1 - CLUB SELECTION

March 1st to September 30th

Registration of candidates, host families and Rotarians (Advisors and Exchange Officers - YEO) through the YEAH System.

*Candidates must start with the forms in Portuguese

September 30th

Deadline for delivery to the Chairman of each State complete package of the 6 (six) forms in Portuguese that are on the website, together with the candidates' scanned documentation in PDF format.

District Selection in person with the candidate and parents.

October 7th

Communication of selection results to clubs and candidates and online seminar on filling outapplication of the APPLICATION FORM via the YEAH system.

October 31st

Completion and delivery of “Application Form”with presentation of all documentation required from approved candidates, through the YEAH System. Including registration in the Yeah system, of the 3 (three) host families of each exchange candidate with complete registration for approval by the exchange committee of district 4490 (Piauí, Ceará and Maranhão).

Obs.: Without the registration of the 3 (three) host families in the Yeah system, the candidate will not be able to participate in theexchange process.
